General Event Details
Q: What time should guests arrive at the ceremony?
A: Our ceremony will begin at 2pm. We kindly ask that guests arrive at the church between 1:30pm-1:55pm.
Q: What time should guests arrive at the reception?
A: Our reception will begin at 5pm. We kindly ask that guests arrive at the banquet hall between 4:30pm-4:55pm.
Q: Is there a specific hashtag for the wedding?
A: Our wedding hashtag is #AVO4LIFE; kindly use this on any relevant social media postings.
Q: When is the RSVP deadline?
A: Please RSVP by April 25th, 2025. This will allow us to have an accurate headcount.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: Our dress code is Formal Attire. Please refer to the Attire portion of this website to view more detailed information.
Q: Is there a dress code for the wedding party or specific colors guests should avoid?
A: We kindly ask that guests follow our outlined wedding color scheme and avoid wearing white, ivory, navy blue, dusty blue, royal blue, and lavender, as these are reserved.
Ceremony and Reception
Q: Will the ceremony or reception be outdoors?
A: Both our ceremony and reception are indoors.
Q: Will the ceremony be unplugged?
A: Our ceremony is not unplugged, however, we ask that guests refrain from using devices during the celebration of the wedding mass.
Q: Is there a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception?
A: Our guests are welcome to arrive at the reception venue at 4:30pm during which pre-dinner snacks will be provided.
Q: Is there a seating arrangement for the reception?
A: Yes, there is a seating arrangement for the reception. There will be a seating chart at the entrance of the reception venue.
Travel and Accommodation
Q: What is the best way to get to the venue?
A: The best way to get to the ceremony or reception venue is by driving.
Q: Are there hotel room blocks available for guests?
A: Yes, we have reserved blocks at three hotels at varying price points. Please refer to the Accommodation tab of this website for more details.
Q: Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?
A: We will not be providing transportation. For out of town guests, we recommend using Uber or Lyft to navigate the city.
Q: Is there parking at the venue(s)?
A: There is ample parking at the ceremony and reception venues.
Food and Beverage
Q: Will there be a vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free option?
A: Not specifically. Within the RSVP please enter any allergies you have.
Q: Will there be a bar at the reception?
A: There will not be a traditional bar at the reception. Guests are welcome to enjoy the drinks available at their table.
Q: Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?
A: We kindly ask that guests do not bring their own alcohol to the ceremony or reception. We will provide Non-alcoholic and Alcoholic wine.
Gifts and Registry
Q: Where are you registered for gifts?
A: Please refer to the Wedding Registry tab for more details.
RSVP and Logistics
Q: How do I RSVP?
A: All invited guests will receive an email with an RSVP link as well as the names of attendees the RSVP covers.
Q: What if I need to change my RSVP?
A: After an RSVP is completed, please contact Vanessa or Ayo if there are any changes to be made.
Q: Can I bring a plus-one?
A: Each RSVP will outline the names of the allowed attendees. These will be the only accommodated guests.
Additional Information
Q: Are there any COVID-19 protocols to follow?
A: None at this time.
Q: Is there a time when the wedding reception ends?
A: While we would love to party all night, the reception will end at 12:30pm.
